For Amazon Music’s biggest campaign to date, we captured the voices of fandom from around the world as people go down deep rabbit holes while gushing about the podcasts and music they love.
Our out-of-home billboards act as an homage to a fan behavior we’re all familiar with: fan-art.
We commissioned different artists for each of our musicians and podcasters to capture their spirit and vibe through expressive and dynamic illustrations.
Before making our final spots, we wrote and DIY’d a bunch of proof of concept/spec ones. Each one embodied the essence of the fandom, depicting the meandering manner in which your mind flits from one topic to another on the journey towards that song or artist or podcast you love so much. We tapped into the dizzying excitement of fandom by ping-ponging between fans as they drop knowledge on the music and podcasts that they love — from Brazilian Funk to Japanese Punk, with even a little unsolved murder sprinkled in for funsies.
